March 2009 Wharton Kids First Foundation

The air was filled the aromas of an Italian bistro and diners feasted on plates piled high with pasta and meatballs at the third annual Wharton Kids First Foundation Pasta Night on Saturday, March 7th. Candle-lit tables adorned with red and green tablecloths and fresh flowers helped to create a cozy atmosphere where families relaxed and enjoyed great food and fellowship.

To start things off, guests were shown to their tables where fresh bread, garden salad and an appetizer of tomatoes and fresh mozzarella awaited them. Patrons were serenaded throughout the evening by accordionist Sal Torino who strolled among the tables playing special requests and Italian favorites. A 50/50 raffle was held, with the winner announced at the end of the evening.

The Wharton Kids First Foundation was chartered in 2005 to provide enhanced educational opportunities and scholarships to current and former students of Wharton Public Schools.
